Dimitrios’ 5 Fast Facts:

1. What do you love most about your role at Vertafore?

I really enjoy being a part of an excellent organization, working hand-in-hand with such a dedicated and caring group of people. Being able to offer customers leading edge innovation to help them not only adapt but excel during a time when technology and end customer expectations are rapidly evolving is very exciting.

2. How did you get into the InsurTech business?

Prior to Vertafore, I worked for a number of leading software and consulting organizations across a number of different industries including Retail and Healthcare and Supply Chain, to name a few. Being presented with the opportunity to lead our Canadian strategy for Vertafore and to be able to bring some of the best practices and innovative ideas I have seen be successful in these other industries to Insurance during a time of evolution for the industry was very attractive to me.

3. What are you most excited about for the future of InsurTech?

Customer expectations and behaviors have changed and these changes are really transforming our ecosystems. Today, it's all about speed, convenience and customer intimacy. These changes are amplifying the importance of a digital strategy, the importance of unlocking the power of data and the emergence of SaaS and Cloud solutions. It's crucial to allow brokers to focus on their core business, while streamlining back office operations, and improving customer experience. Without question, it's a very exciting time to be in the InsurTech space.

4. What’s your idea of the perfect weekend?

Spending time with family and friends enjoying a nice sunny day swimming or biking, followed by an evening of cooking and enjoying everyone’s company around the dinner table. If I am fortunate enough to be enjoying it on a beach somewhere, even better!

5. I’m coming to visit you! What are your favorite/must-do things in your city?

Montreal is a vibrant city. Old Montreal is a must see and no visit would be complete without enjoying one of our world class restaurants. If you visit in the summer, the city is full of festivals and energy. My only caution is that if you visit, you may not want to leave!
